OLUKERE HAILS LEGAL ICON, OLANIPEKUN FOR DONATING SENATE BUILDING TO BOUESTI

…seeks Robust Federal Presence in Ikere

The Olukere of Ikere, Odo-Oja, Ikere local Government, Oba Ayodele Obasoyin (Okomolese II) has commended the Ikere born legal Icon and philanthropist, Asiwaju Wole Olanipekun(SAN) for the donation of an ultra modern Senate building to the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere Ekiti (BOUESTI) Ekiti State.

Oba Obasoyin in a statement made available to Newsmen on Sunday, described Asiwaju Olanipekun(SAN) as a blessing to Ikere Ekiti, Ekiti State and Nigeria as a whole.

Olukere in the Press statement said the building is important in the University because it houses the central administrative offices, the Senate and governing council chambers and a mini conference hall for the Senate and offices for the Vice Chancellor and Deputy; which will enable academic matters handle properly.

Olukere said “I cannot but thank our dear son for putting up this edifice in addition to the institution’s eyes pointer infrastructures, as part of his contributions to humanity and particularly, Ikere development.

The traditional ruler also acknowledged the annual scholarship awards and empowerment initiatives of Asiwaju Wole Olanipekun in furtherance of his desire to continue to help the less privileged in the society and also seeing to the well-being of Ikere Indigenes both young and old.

The Olukere, Oba Ayodele Obasoyin thanked President Bola Tinubu for the appointments of two Illustrous sons of Ikere namely, General Olufemi Oluyede as the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Mr Ola Olukoyede -as Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Saying Ikere deserves federal presence considering the calibre of its indigenes at federal positions, the Monarch called on Asiwaju Olanipekun to use his influence with other notable indigenes and attract robust federal government’s presence to the town to engender socio-economic growth that will live beyond him.

He maintained that, ”this community had been longing for federal government’s presence, and I believe the opportunity has come our way with our sons at EFCC office and Army Headquarters. they should assist Ikere in their respective capacity and push for more lifting projects”.

Olukere who explained the essence of giving back to the community, showered his royal blessings on the Ikere born Philanthropist and wished him well in future endeavours and also urged all Ikere Indigenes home and abroad who are wealthy and in good positions to emulate the gesture of Asiwaju Olanipekun so that together we can make Ikere Ekiti a greater place for us our unborn children.
