The Joint Security Committee, JSC, in Emure/Ise-Orun and Ikere LGAs on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, CP Adeniran Akinwale in his office in Ado-Ekiti.
The Chairman of JSC, Elder Tunji Falana, who spoke on behalf of his colleagues expressed appreciation to the CP for the significant roles he played during the kidnapping of the school children at Eporo between January 29th and February 15th 2024.
According to him, the CP played proactive and effective roles in ensuring the fight against the bandits were taken to their doorsteps adding that his efforts in ensuring the security of life and property can not be overemphasized.
The JSC members, who spoke one after the other, seized the occasion to solicit the support of the CP in critical areas of security in the LGAs.
On his part, the CP commended the JSC’s unique model of creating a formidable synergy, comprising the Local Goverments, Royal Fathers, the elites and the various security outfits.
The CP described this as a form of community policing while admonishing JSC not to relent in their efforts at supporting the Police saying that the Police can not do it alone.
