EKSUTH SENIOR STAFF ELECTS NEW EXECUTIVES

….as Arigbede returns for second term

The Senior Staff Association of University Teaching Hospitals, Research Institutes and Associated Institutions, SSAUTHRIAI Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital Branch, has elected new executive to pilot the affairs of the Association for another four years.

The election held during the Quadrennial General Meeting/Delegate Conference had Comrade Arigbede Tony Ayo returned for a second term as the Chairman of the Association.

Other elected members include; Comr. Banni Olajumoke, Vice Chairman, Comr. Dada Emmanuel, General Secretary, Comr. Adelusi OM, Treasurer, Comr. Akindele Oluwakemi,Asst. Secretary, Comr. Adeniyi Olushola, Financial Secretary, Comr. Adekahunsi Toyin, Publicity Secretary and Comr. Tope Ajayi as Trustee.

Speaking with newsmen, Comr. Arigbede disclosed his readiness to work with other executives and members towards strengthening the union and project it to a formidable height.

In his words, “It is time for strengthening, it is time for consolidation, it is time to move the union further to a greater height. I will be working with my team to move the union to a greater height”.

On his part, the Senior Special Assistant to Ekiti State Governor on Labour Matters, Kayode Fatomi called for the cooperation of unions with the state government for the good of all.

” I want to charge all the unions to continue to cooperate with this present government and to pray for a sustenance even beyond this first tenure because a good term deserves another”.

Other dignitaries including the Nigeria Labour Congress Chairman, Comr. Kolapo Olatunde, Trade Union Congress Chairman,Sola Adigun and Joint Negotiating Committee Chairman, Femi Ajoloko called for unionism among members and urged the executives to prioritize the welfare of members which is one of the objectives of unionism.
