Ekiti Vigilante Arrest Two Suspected Burglars

The Ekiti State Command of the Vigilante group said it has arrested a boy, Afolalu Ayodele and one other person in Ado-Ekiti for alleged burglary.

In a statement by the Vigilante Commander in Ekiti State, Mr. Akin Olohunloni said the suspects were apprehended in the early hours of Monday following an ambush by operatives of the command.

According to him, one of the suspects hails from Ilawe-Ekiti and has been a notoriously burglar who sells off stolen goods to his partner.

He added that the suspects have been handed over to the Ekiti State Police command for further investigation and prosecution.

The statement read: “We arrested the boy this morning around 4am on ambush and his name is Afolalu Ayodele, a native of Ilawe Ekiti and lives in Ado-Ekiti.

“He has stolen goods many times and he said the truth that he is sold it to one guy. Immediately, we moved to the buyer’s house and arrested him. So, we have handed them over to the Police.”
