EKITI NUJ HAILS GOVERNOR OYEBANJI FOR APPOINTING FORMER CHAIRMAN

The Ekiti State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has hailed the State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji for appointing its erstwhile chairman, Akogun Tai Oguntayo as Technical Advisor on Public Communication (Political).

In a statement co-signed by the Union’s chairman, Comrade Kayode Babatuyi and the Secretary, Comrade O’Seun Ogunsakin, the Union thanked Governor Oyebanji for appointing its members into critical and relevant offices; saying that having the right set of people in the right positions fast-tracks people-centered development.

The Union which appreciated Governor Oyebanji for according it recognition assured that media-related appointees from the Union would not fail the government in its bid to deliver shared prosperity to Ekiti people.

While congratulating Oguntayo on the appointment, the Union said the appointment was well-deserved as a reward for hard work and professionalism.

It added that the appointment was an affirmation of its decision to name its hall after Akogun Oguntayo who had led the Union with remarkable impacts.
The NUJ congratulated Oguntayo and urged him to justify the confidence reposed in him by the governor.
