EKITI NLC WANTS GOVERNMENT TO IMMORTALIZE LATE OTUNBA EGBEYEMI

… commends his zeal for community developmental zeal

The  Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Ekiti State has described the death of the immediate past Deputy Governor of the state, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi as great loss to humanity and political circle in the country with a call on government to immortalize him.

In a statement in Ado Ekiti, the Chairman of NLC, Comrade Kolapo Olatunde noted that Otunba Egbeyemi had contributed to development of Ekiti State and sustainability of democratic system of government during his life time.

Comrade Olatunde said the vacuum left behind by the elder stateman would be difficult to fill due to some of  his exceptional roles played in different offices he superintendend especially that of the deputy governor.

According to the NLC Chairman, the  loss of an energetic and vibrant leader  like Otunba Egbeyemi is something that can never be forgotten in a hurry.

“You have always been an essential part of Ekiti development, now you are gone. I pray for your departed soul, You have accomplished many good things in life”

“You worked hard and always followed the path of honesty,  your compassion and your position to some of the most vital humanitarian issues is second to none”

Comrade Olatunde prayed God to grant the family and Ekiti state government fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

The NLC Chairman noted that the great icon of repute would be greatly miss in all facets of life and urged the state government to name an institution after him so as to him memorable.
