Abia Guber: INEC to Review Results in Abuja

Following the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC’s suspension of collation of the Gubernatorial Poll results in Abia, results have been taken to Abuja for review.

According to INEC, the reason for the suspension was as a result of the inconclusive collation in Obingwa Local Governments Area.

Also, INEC in a press statement yesterday obtained from its Twitter handle had that, a day before the elections, INEC office in Obingwa was attacked.

Report reaching Roundoff News, has that the Vice Chancellors, Federal University of Technology Owerri,FUTO, Prof Nnenna Nnannaya Oti, who is also the Returning Officer of Abia State, said she will ensure that good governance prevails promising not to compromise.

It was gathered that the need to review results in Abuja is to avert protest in the state as results would be announced at the State Collation Centre, Umuahia after the review.
