Ekiti FA charts clear roadmap for football development

  • Roles out new directives to Affiliated Bodies.

The Ekiti state football association has drawn up new direction towards a sustainable development and growth of the round leather game in the state.

In a meeting held recently between the Ekiti FA Chairman Aare Olu Oloworemo and Affiliated Bodies – Local football councils, referees council, Club Owners association, and the football coaches association – he affirmed the bodies resolve to ensure fairness, integrity, and proper governance within the state’s football community thereby prohibition of any football administrator simultaneously holding a position as a club administrator. The FA boss further noted that clubs must seek explicit approval before any football club represents Ekiti State in competitions outside the region, ensuring that only officially sanctioned clubs duly endorsed by the Ekiti FA participate in tournaments beyond state boundaries.

Aare Oloworemo emphasized the endorsement and approval process for local council-organized football competitions. The football body has now made it mandatory that all football competition must be endorsed by the Local Football Council before organizing any football competitions. In Addition the body also inform Football Referee councils and coaches association should not accept to participate in any competition without sighting the approval from the state football association.

In lieu, of these new directives, the Football body has directed the Local Football Councils to constitue Taskforce within their local councils to monitor and ensure they adhere to the new directives, rules and regulations of the state football association and also all Local Football Councils should relate with security agencies in other to ensure full compliance with the bodies rules and regulations.
