Easter: Ekiti NUT chairman greets teachers, restates commitment to partner government for better welfare of workers

The chairman Nigeria Union of Teachers who doubles as the Vice Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress, Comrade Emmanuel Oke has congratulated Ekiti State workers, particularly teachers for the celebration of this year’s Easter.

In a statement in Ado-Ekiti, Comrade Emmanuel Oke said workers must be grateful to God for witnessing the Easter season, saying it is by the grace of God that they are alive to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Comrade Oke noted that with the resurrection of Jesus Christ, all that has been dead in their lives would regain life.

He called on teachers to use the period of the holiday to relax, wine and dine with their family so as to resume to their workplace with a refreshed energy and zeal.

Comrade Oke also congratulated the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, his wife Doctor  Oyebanji, the Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Chief Monisade Afuye, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Bunmi Adelugba, all cabinet members of Ekiti State government top government functionaries and all labour leaders in the state.

He restated the commitment of the leadership of NUT to partner government towards making life better for teachers.

Oke noted that all hands must be on deck to support the present government of Oyebanji to achieve his dream of building a better Ekiti particularly improving on the welfare of workers.

The statement reads:”I comrade Emmanuel Oke rejoice with my people particularly the teachers, I am glad that the God that we serve has given us the grace to see another Easter, it is not by our power, it is not because we are smart, many are dead and that is why we must rejoice, we must also celebrate with modesty.

“As a leader, I will continue to strive to build a good relationship with government towards ensuring that we get the necessary benefit of our people for them.
