Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, the late Chief of Army Staff (COAS), was buried at the National Military Cemetery on Friday. His remains arrived in Abuja on Thursday afternoon.
At approximately 12:16 p.m., his body reached the Air Force Wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.A Service of Songs will be held at Mogadishu Cantonment this Thursday to kick off the planned funeral ceremonies. This was to be followed by his burial on Friday afternoon.
Maj. Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations, announced the burial schedule, which stated that Lagbaja would be laid to rest on Friday at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja.
