E-11 Club Advocates Concession of Arinta Waterfall to Glocient Hospitality

Urges government to invest in tourism

…As members hold two-day Easter retreat

A foremost social cultural group in Ekiti state, E-11 club has called on the state government to harness the abundant tourism potentials of Arinta waterfall and other tourist sites for the socio-economic development of the state.

The Chairman of the club, Chief Kola Akosile and the General Secretary, Mr Oska Seyi Aiyeleso in a statement after the Easter retreat held at the Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort advocated the need for government to concession the Arinta waterfall to Glocient Hospitality, a subsidiary of CAVISTA HOLDINGS.

They said Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort and Conference Centre under the supervision of Glocient Hospitality, a subsidiary of CAVISTA HOLDINGS has witnessed a remarkable turnaround.

They expressed confidence in the capability of the company to enhance tourism in the region and preserve the natural beauty of Arinta waterfall for generations to come.

They said that government should explore the option of public-private partnership in developing the waterfall adding that Ekiti is richly blessed with diverse resources of touristic value which can be harnessed for sustainable economic diversification; to enhance the prosperity of the people.

The two-day retreat was sponsored by E 11 members; John and Ron Olajide, with the Executive Director of Cavista Holdings, Mr. Dele Odufuye representing the Executive Chairman of Cavista Holdings, Mr. John Olajide.

The retreat kicked off with a warm welcome dinner at the Resort Restaurant, where members indulged in an exquisite dining experience under the starlit sky as the atmosphere was filled with laughter and relaxation, setting the stage for an extraordinary getaway.

Guests, at the event included the Vice Chancellors of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education Science and Technology (BOUESTI), Prof. Adeoluwa, and Venitte University, Prof. Rev. Fr. Olaogun. They promised to bring some of the activities of their universities to Ikogosi Resort.

The E 11 members at the end of the event pledged to be ambassadors of Ikogosi Resort, while some members of the National Assembly pledged their unrelenting support to promote the resort for sustainable economic development of the state.

During the two-day event, members of the club embarked on an invigorating hike of the earm spring hill summit, guided by experienced tour guides.

According to the organizers, the retreat had an impactful business meeting featuring esteemed guests from various industries and academia.

They went further to say that the forum provided a platform for insightful presentations and engaging discussions, enriching the experience for all attendees.

During the retreat, some new members were inducted and presented with certificates of membership such as; John Olajide, Ron Olajide, Senator Yemi Adaramodu, Hon Akin Rotimi, Otunba Ladi Owolabi and others.
