COURT REMANDS EKITI FORMER SPEAKER OVER  ATEMPTED MURDER

A former speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Dele Olugbemi has been remanded in prison custody by a magistrate court sitting in Ado Ekiti.

Olugbemi was arrested and arraigned by the, Rapid Response Squad of the  Ekiti State Police Command over attempted murder.

Chief Ogunyemi Aluko, a leader of OPC in Ekiti had petitioned the police alleging that the  ex-speaker defrauded him of four hundred thousand naira and in order not to pay back, he had continued to send some persons to kill him.

The last sraw that broke the camel’s back was on Monday when some of the boys allegedly sent by Olugbemi attacked the OPC leader with bottle, hence he ran to the police for rescue.
