Cheat With Caution- Gombe NSCDC Commandant Advises Men

By Grace Omachoko

The Gombe State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mohammed Bello Mu’azu, has issued a stern warning to Nigerian men, particularly married men on the adverse effects of cheating in their marital home.

This caution follows the revelation made by the State Commandant, who disclosed the arrest of an 85-year-old man, who was reportedly engaged in numerous relationships with young girls, leading to his and his four wives testing positive for HIV after medical examination.

Mu’azu highlighted the alarming prevalence rate of HIV in Gombe State, describing it as a “time bomb.”

He emphasized the necessity for individuals to exercise caution in their sexual relationships and encouraged thorough confirmation of the HIV status of potential partners before engaging in any intimate relationships.

Mu’azu expressed concern about many carriers being in their window period, which further emphasizes the need for vigilance.

The NSCDC boss urged men to be proactive, emphasizing the importance of confirming the HIV status of their partners to curb the spread of the virus in Gombe State.
