Buhari Blames Opposition for Election defeat as Result of Over Confidence

President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed that opposition parties in the just concluded 2023 Presidential Elections failed as a result of over confidence.

He revealed this at his residence in the State House where he received the Progressive Governors Forum led by their Chairman, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State.

According to him the opposition parties which include the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, and Labour Party were defeated because they failed to blend confidence with caution.

Buhari said, “They were already telling their foreign backers that they would defeat the APC. Our Party blended confidence with caution, we worked hard and won.”

Moreso, the Media Director for Tinubu and Shettima Campaign, Bayo Onanuga who also relayed this via his Official Twitter Account @aonanuga1956 revealed that, “A combination of over confidence, complacency and bad tactical moves made the opposition parties lose the recent presidential election, plain and clear, says President Muhammadu Buhari.”
