Benin Independence: Tinubu, six Gov. head to Benin for Anniversary

President Bola Tinubu, accompanied by six Governors will head to Benin Republic for its 63rd independence anniversary.

This was made known in a statement signed by the President’s Special Adviser, Special Duties, Communications & Strategy, Dele Alake.

According to Alake, President Tinubu honours the invitation to attend the anniversary, adding that the event will take place today, Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

Alake said, “The President, who is also the Chairman of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States, will be the Special Guest of President Patrice Talon at the ceremony.”

The six governors joining the President include: “Ogun, Dapo Abiodun; Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Oyo, Seyi Makinde; Kwara, AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq; Kebbi, Nasir Idris, and 
Niger,  Mohammed Umar Bago.
