ARAROMI EKITI PRINCES FILE INTERLOCUTORY INJUCTION TO STOP GOVT FROM INSTALLING NEW ALARAROMI

…pray court to restrain Prince Adebomi from parading himself as king-elect

Three out of the four Princes contesting the Traditional stool of Alararomi of Araromi Ekiti in Ijero Local Government Area have filed interlocutory order to restrain Ekiti State Government from going further to install anybody as the king of Araromi Ekiti.

This was made known in a suit filed by the counsel of the claimants, Mr Bode Kowe also prayed the court to stop the State government from appointing a new set of warrant Chiefs to install a new Alararomi of Ekiti until the determination of the substantive suit early filed.

The aggrieved contestants who are Prince Babalola Adeniji, Prince Afolayan Demola and Prince Adediran Fatoye, also urged the court to order the Defendant, Prince Babalola Adebomi from further parading himself as the candidate selected by the ifa Oracle in the selection exercise held on 18 February 2023.

The aggrieved princes alleged that the selection process that produced Babalola Adebomi was manipulated hence, called for a fresh divination that would produce a qualified candidate.

ROUNDOFFNEWS recalled that last month, the Ekiti State Government through the Deputy Governor, Chief Monisade Afuye, had ordered the kingmakers to proceed with the installation of Prince Babalola Babatunde Adebomi as the Alararomi of Araromi Ekiti.

According to the suit, the head of Odimulele Ruling House upon the submission of declaration of interest forms, presented four interested contestants for screening and determination of their suitability for the Alararomi of Araromi Ekiti as demanded by customs of the town

“The 1, 2,3,4, 5 and 6 Defendants invited an Ifa Priest to conduct ifa Divination on 18th February 2023 to determine the most suitable among the aspiring candidates to occupy the vacant stool.”

“At the end of the Divination on each of the Contestants, the ifa Priest choosed or picked three names out of the four contestants and declared them as the most suitable persons or candidates for the vacant stool.”

The ich following this has not died down when the same ifa Priest again selected one name out of the three names as the most suitable for the vacant stool. This was what other princes kicked against and sought redress in the court of law.
