AHUN EKITI, EFON LOCAL GOVERNMENT OPENS COMMUNITY MARKET

…alleges Efon Council Chairman of not recognizing him

Irunsin Community market, Ahun Ekiti, Efon Local Government has been opened for business transaction.

Speaking at the opening of the market, the monarch of the town, Alahun of Ahun-Ekiti, Oba Jacob Adelowo- Omole said the market was constructed to aid business activities in the community.

Oba Adelowo-Omole urged residents of the state to patronize the community market to purchase farm produce such as yam, maize, tomatoes, pepper, among others at cheaper rate, saying the market would be opened every three days.

He alleged Efon local government authority for not recognising Alahun and his Chiefs by denying them to attend meetings at the council level, calling governor Oyebanji to intervene.

Oba Adelowo-Omole called on Governor Biodun Oyebanji to extend the ongoing projects in the state to the community.

The Alahun of Ahun-Ekiti also appealed to the sons and daughters of the community to support him in developing the town.

In an interview, some residents of the town commended the monarch for constructing the market, saying it would serve as avenue to showcase their goods.

The programme was attended by prince Emmanuel Ajewole and other Ahun indigenes.

The market was built by the Alahun of Ahun-Ekiti, Oba Jacob Adelowo-Omole.
