Adekunle Bayo-Fati wins Gold at NBA-AGC First Chess Competition

Adekunle Bayo-Fati, Esq. of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Ado-Ekiti Branch, has won the gold medal at the maiden edition of the NBA 2023 Annual General Conference, AGC, Chess Competition that ended in Abuja.

Bayo-Fati defeated his opponents, Ravella Mukoro Esq. of Abuja Branch and Victor George of Lagos Branch, who came second and third respectively.

Also, Ajila Oladapo Esq. won the Male Table Tennis Competition while Titi Osagie Esq. of NBA Ikeja Branch won the Female Table Tennis Competition.

The Chess Competition was a new innovation by the Sports and Recreation Committee chaired by Mr. Godwin Madubuko, in addition to other existing sporting activities such as Table Tennis and Football Competition.

All the winners were recognised at the Presidential Dinner held at the ICC on 30th August, 2023.

The Chairman of NBA Ado-Ekiti Branch, Fasanmi Lawrence and the Secretary NBA Ado-Ekiti Branch, Taiwo Omidoyin expressed their appreciation on behalf of the Branch to the gold medalist, Bayo-Fati for making the branch proud as the first member of the Branch to win Gold at the NBA-AGC Sport Event.
