2023: LP, NNPP Halts PDP Presidential Bid says APC

By Udesinanna Stephen

The All Progressive Congress, APC, said that the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Atiku Abubakar lost its chances of winning the 2023 presidential election as a result of the emergence of Labour Party, LP and New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP candidates who were formerly PDP members.

This was revealed by the party legal team in a filed response to the petition of the PDP seeking the nullification of the result of the February 25 Presidential election that led to the emergence of Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the APC, as the President-elect.

Meanwhile, Atiku claimed that the election was rigged and prayed that the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT) in Abuja should discredit the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, announcement of APC victory in the 2023 poll.
