Ado Ekiti Communities Laud Oyebanji Over Road Project, Seek More Amenities

Residents of Moboluwaduro Doctors’ quarters and Oluwatuyi community in Ado Ekiti have commended Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, for the completion of their community road, describing the project as a major relief that has eased movement and improved access to the area.

Speaking on behalf of the two communities, leaders, Prince Ajibade Boboye and Evangelist Ajetumobi Olajide expressed appreciation to the governor for fulfilling his promise to deliver the road project, saying that before the intervention, the road was in a deplorable state, causing hardship for motorists and pedestrians, especially health workers residing in the Doctors Quarters.

The communities said the new road had also enhanced security, boosted property values, and reduced travel time within the axis, added that residents, including medical personnel who render essential services, now enjoy smoother commuting to and from their places of work.

While celebrating the milestone, the communities used the opportunity to appeal for additional infrastructures such as demarcation of the road with concrete bonds to prevent encroachment and preserve the right of way.

They also appealed for the installation of solar street lights along the newly constructed road to improve visibility at night and deter criminal activities. According to them, adequate lighting would further enhance security for residents and commuters who use the route after dark.

In addition, the communities called on the state government to consider constructing a modern market within the area to serve residents and reduce the burden of traveling long distances for basic commodities.

The leaders reaffirmed their support for Governor Oyebanji’s administration and pledged massive vote for him during the June 20th Governorship poll.

They expressed optimism that the government would consider their requests as part of its commitment to grassroots development and improved living standards across Ekiti State.
