The Eda Oniyo Progressive Union, EPU, on behalf of the town monarch, Oba Julius Awolola has felicitated with the Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji and his deputy, Chief Monisola Afuye on their successful inauguration for a second term in office.
In a statement in Eda Oniyo, President of EPU, Dr. Rufus Ajayi, Oba Awolola and entire Eda Oniyo community expressed satisfaction with the performance of Governor Oyebanji during his first term, which earned the him and his deputy a second-term mandate.
Oba Awolola expressed appreciation to Governor Oyebanji for the award of the contract for the construction of a Divisional Police Station at Eda Oniyo, headquarters of Ilejemeje Local Government Area, noting that work is currently ongoing and demanded for military post at the border area.
The Eleda also mentioned the vast land available in Eda Oniyo for agricultural purposes and promised to make the land available to the government at short notice for development and pledged the cooperation of the people of Eda Oniyo to ensure the victory of all candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, during next year’s general elections.
Oba Awolola further pledged the continued cooperation of the community with the administration in its drive to ensure peaceful coexistence and sustain the industrial development of the state.
