The monarch of Osi-Ekiti, HRH Oba Stephen Adegboyega Alabi, has congratulated Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his re-election for a second term, describing the outcome as a clear demonstration of the confidence and trust the people have in his leadership.

In a statement made available to journalists at the weekend, Oba Alabi said the governor’s victory represented a renewed mandate from the electorate, reflecting their belief in his vision, commitment, and dedication to the development of Ekiti State.

The monarch noted that the renewed mandate underscored the public’s confidence in the governor’s ability to sustain the achievements recorded during his first term.

He also commended the cordial relationship between the state government and traditional institutions, stating that the administration’s respect for the state’s cultural heritage and its engagement with traditional rulers had strengthened peace, unity, and community development across Ekiti State.

Oba Alabi urged Governor Oyebanji to build on the successes of his first tenure by prioritising good governance, infrastructure, quality education, accessible healthcare, youth empowerment, agriculture, security, and economic development.

He further assured the governor of the continued support, cooperation, and prayers of the Traditional Council and the people of the kingdom as the administration begins its second term.

The traditional ruler expressed optimism that sustained collaboration between the government and traditional institutions would foster lasting peace, unity, and prosperity throughout the state.
