Ekiti Poll: Guard your Votes, ADC Gubernatorial Candidate, Dare Bejide Urges Electorates

The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ekiti State, Ambassador Dare Bejide, has urged residents of the state to guard their votes during the forthcoming election.

Bejide said the people’s votes remain the most powerful tool for electing a responsible and people-oriented government and must be protected against electoral manipulation and rigging.

The ADC governorship candidate made the call today during a rally held at the party’s office in Oye-Ekiti.

He who further promised that, if elected, his administration would prioritize the safety and protection of lives and property, tackle the menace of kidnapping, and reduce the tax burden on residents also pledged to run an inclusive government that would give people at the grassroots a voice in the selection of commissioners, board members, and other key government appointees.

Also speaking at the rally, the ADC senatorial candidate for Ekiti North Senatorial District, Funsho Ayeni, urged residents to disregard fake news and misinformation.

Ayeni noted that as elections approach, reports of alleged defections by party members and endorsements of candidates from other political parties often circulate, stressing that many of such reports are intended to mislead voters.

He also warned against vote-buying and vote-selling, urging the electorate to prioritize credibility, competence, and capacity when casting their votes rather than being influenced by financial inducements.
