Ekiti Guber: INEC Extends PVC Collection to June 14

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Ekiti State Office has extended the collection of Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, from Friday, June 12 to Sunday, June 14, 2026.

The extension is intended to provide additional opportunity for registered voters who are yet to collect their PVCs ahead of the governorship election scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 2026.

In a statement signed by the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Bunmi Omosehindemi, the Commission said PVC collection will continue at the designated Local Government Area offices during official hours.

INEC advised voters to collect their PVCs personally, stressing that collection by proxy will not be permitted.

The Commission urged all registered voters who have not collected their PVCs to take advantage of the extension, noting that the PVC remains the only valid means of identification for voting on election day.

INEC reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that every eligible voter is given the opportunity to participate in the electoral process.

With the election less than 10 days away, stakeholders say the PVC collection extension is critical to reducing voter disenfranchisement and boosting turnout in the off-cycle poll.
