SCHOOL RESUMPTION: ASUSS CHAIRMAN, ADIGUN URGES TEACHERS TO EMBRACE PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

As primary and secondary schools in Ekiti State resume academic activities on Monday for the 2021/2022 third term academic session, the Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools ASUSS Ekiti State, Comrade Sola Adigun has appealed to teachers to ensure that they engage in activities that would develop their skills and expertise on the job.

In a statement in Ado Ekiti, Adigun noted that while the union leaders would not relent at ensuring that government trains teachers, the importance of personal training could not be ruled off.

According to him, teaching is a dynamic profession which requires every teacher to up their games so as to meet up with contemporary methodology.

Comrade Adigun who is also the chairman of the Trade Union Congress TUC congratulated teachers on the safe resumption and hoped that they have taken time to relax and refresh during the break.

He called on government to see to some of the key challenges affecting the education sector saying such would boost the morale of teachers towards ensuring optimal service delivery.
