Students Lament as ASUU Extends Strike

Students in Ekiti State have expressed worry over the inability of government to resolve the impasse with Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

ASUU leadership had  on Monday morning extended the ongoing strike by 12 weeks.

The decision was taken at an emergency National Executive Council (NEC) held at ASUU Secretariat in Abuja.

The emergency meeting, which had in attendance principal officers and branch chairmen, started on Sunday and ended early Monday morning.

Speaking with, Journalists in Ado Ekiti the students noted that the new development would destroy the education sector and future of Nigeria students.
