…as Chairman ‘Oloforo’ stresses importance of daily tickets, vehicle documents
The National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, in Ekiti State has urged members to mark this year’s Ogun festival with modesty and caution.
State Chairman, Chief Joseph Falope, made the appeal in a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti on Monday.
Chief Falope, popularly known as Oloforo also thanked members for their support for his leadership and for Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji.
He directed commercial drivers in the state to obtain government-approved tickets and ensure their vehicle documents are up to date, warning that police enforcement would commence soon.
The NURTW chairman further appealed to drivers to pay their daily tickets promptly, describing it as their contribution to the growth and development of the union in Ekiti.
He also enjoined members to attend the union’s general meeting scheduled for later this month, and promised continued welfare packages for them.
