A former Chairman of the Senate Committee on Privatisation, Senator Ayo Arise, says President Tinubu’s performance in the last three years is an indication that Nigeria is beginning to get it right independently through its leaders.
Sen. Arise made the submission in a statement made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti on the commemoration of the nation’s Independence Day and the 30th anniversary of the creation of Ekiti State.
“The President has no doubt rekindled the hope of investors in the country,” he said. He added that the sacrifices made by the President to abolish the fuel subsidy cankerworm, which ate deep into the nation’s economy, had bailed out many states from owing salaries, which was the order of the day in the past.
“Nigeria is fast developing through an avalanche of developmental efforts by the present administration in the country. Though there are challenges being faced by the country, such are not capable of ruining the nation.
“The level of sacrifice being made by President Tinubu to develop the country needs to be appreciated by all. We must continue to support the President to deliver more dividends of democracy across the country.
“The quick economic recovery machinery put in place by the President through a seasoned economic team has started to yield positive results, with benefits cutting across all ages of citizens, an indication of a better tomorrow for the country.”
In the same development, Sen. Arise congratulated the Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, his deputy, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye, and all Ekiti indigenes on the 30th anniversary of the State’s creation.
Senator Arise called for continued support for the present administration in the State as the Governor sets to take his second-term leadership mantle.
“Unwavering support for the APC government at all levels will further accelerate the development of the State under Gov. Oyebanji,” he said.
He urged the people to continue to see the development of the State as a joint responsibility of all and sundry, hence the need to always embrace peace and unity.
