The Medical and Dental Consultants’ Association of Nigeria (MDCAN), Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH) Chapter, has extended its heartfelt congratulations to the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on his resounding re-election for a second term in office.
This was contained in a statement jointly signed by the Chairman of the Association, Dr. Kadiri I. A., and the Secretary, Dr. Adegoke B. O.
According to the Association, the Governor’s overwhelming electoral victory is a clear testament to the confidence, trust, and support he enjoys among the people of Ekiti State as a result of his purposeful, inclusive, and people-oriented leadership.
The consultants prayed that God would continue to endow Governor Oyebanji with greater wisdom, strength, knowledge, and understanding as he embarks on another term of service to the people of the state.
MDCAN noted that the Governor’s re-election is well deserved, considering the remarkable achievements recorded during his first term, particularly in the health sector and the unprecedented attention accorded to the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital.
The Association commended the administration for its deliberate investments in healthcare delivery, including the ongoing infrastructural transformation of the state-owned teaching hospital, improved provision of medical equipment, enhanced welfare of healthcare workers, and the prompt payment of salaries. According to the consultants, these interventions have significantly improved staff morale and strengthened the capacity of the hospital to provide quality healthcare services to the people of Ekiti State.
The statement further reads:
“Under the leadership of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, specialist healthcare services have become more accessible to the people of Ekiti State. The administration’s strategic investments in infrastructure, modern medical equipment, and human capital development have greatly enhanced our ability to deliver efficient, high-quality tertiary healthcare services.”
While congratulating the Governor on his well-earned victory, MDCAN appealed to him to sustain and further expand the impressive investments in the health sector during his second term, noting that a stronger healthcare system remains essential to the well-being and productivity of the people.
The Association also reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with and supporting the administration in its efforts to advance healthcare delivery, medical education, and research for the overall development of Ekiti State.
“We look forward to a second term that will consolidate the gains already made and usher in even greater progress in the health sector and other critical areas of development. MDCAN EKSUTH remains committed to working with the Government of Ekiti State in the collective interest of our people.”
