Women Society Felicitates Oyebanji on Assumption of Office

…seeks  improved fight against Gender-Based Violence

A women advocacy group, Standup for Women Society, SWC, Ekiti State has felicitated the newly sworn-in Governor, Hon.Biodun Oyebanji and his Deputy Chief Monisade Afuye.

In a statement in Ado-Ekiti, on Tuesday, jointly signed by the chairman,  Mrs Badegboyega Adewumi and the Secretary, Mrs
Akomolafe Helen, applauded Oyebanji on the appointment of Habitat Adubiaro as the Secretary to the State Government.

The women prayed God to grant the Governor and those that would work with him the enablement to record unprecedented success.

The statement went further to call on the new administration to intensify more efforts in the fight against Gender-Based Violence among women and the girl-child.

They also canvassed speedy dispensation of justice on Gender-Based Violence as a way of reducing the spate of occurrence in the state.

While calling for a concerted effort to nip the menace in the bud they charged the governor on inclusiveness of women in the affairs of governance.
