Update: INEC to Proceed Collation in Abia, Enugu

Following the suspension of further collation of Abia and Enugu Gubernatorial and State Assembly poll results for review by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, the commission said it has been concluded.

This was made known on Wednesday, in a press statement signed by the National Commissioner and Chairman, Voter Education Committee, Barr. Festus Okoye and released on the verified INEC Twitter handle, @inecnigeria.

According to him, the collation of results will commence today in both states.

Meanwhile, Roundoffnews reported that, at the early hours of today protest has rocked Umuhaia by both the Supporters of Labour Party and People Democratic Party seeking for the declaration of the results in their favour.

Also, Roundoff news gathered that Enugu has remained calm since the suspension.
