Union leaders in Ekiti endorse Governor Oyebanji for second term

…as SSA labour matter, Kayode Fatomiluyi embarks on familiarization tour of industrial unions in Ekiti

Leadership of some industrial unions in Ekiti State have promised to mobilize their members to support the state Governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji to remain in office till 2030.

The labour leaders spoke separately while playing host to the Senior Special Assistant on Labour Matters to the Governor, Comrade Kayode Fatomiluyi who is on a fertilization tour of the various industrial unions in the state.

Among the unions visited include the Amalgamated Union of Public Corporation, Civil Service Technical and Recreational Services Employees (AUPCTRE), Medical And Health Workers Union of Nigeria and
Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria.

Other are the Nigeria Union of Teachers and the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE.

In all the unions visited, their leaders acknowledged the various policies and programmes of Governor Oyebanji which had improved the welfare of workers and gave them sense of belongings.

According to them, Ekiti workers have not had it so good like this hence the need to reciprocate the gesture of the Governor by supporting him to continue in office so that workers too can continue to enjoy his good deeds

In a separate interview, the president, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, Comrade Seyi Olatunde, the Chairman, Medical And Health Workers Union, Comrade Femi Ajoloko and the JUSU Chairman James Adetula affirmed that Governor Oyebanji had shown rare commitment to well-being of workers to prompt payment of salaries, approval of promotions, payment of outstanding benefits, payment of wage award to cusgion the effect of the harsh economy just to mention but a few.

Earlier in his remark, the Senior Special Assistant on Labour Matters to Governor, Comrade Kayode Fatomiluyi highlighted the various laudable programmes of the Governor not only for workers but for the growth anf development of the state.

Fatomiluyi affirmed that Governor Oyebanji is a blessing to Ekiti State because of his ingenuity and determination to deliver on his promises to the people.

He appreciated the labour leaders for the promise to support the Governor and promised that more benefits would be extended to them by the government

The visit of the SSA continues on Thursday to other unions including the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ekiti State Council.
