Tinubu will Become Nigeria President Despite Court Battle – FG

By Ihie Grace

The Nigerian Government says there is no basis for the constitution of an interim government as the opposition political parties have the right to challenge the presidential election in court.

Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed told a gathering during a visit to the United Kingdom that the result of the February 25 presidential election was already being contested in court by opposition political parties and described as unpatriotic calls for insurrection.

Mohammed assured the UK audience that the President-elect Ahmed Tinubu would be sworn in on the scheduled date of May 29, 2023.
