Support Indigenous Security Outfit to End Insecurity – Ekiti vigilante Commander tells Governor Biodun Abayomi

Commander of Vigilante Group in Ekiti State, Mr Akin Olohunloni has called on Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji to support indigenous security outfit to end the menace of insecurity.

Speaking with our reporter, the vigilante boss said that the local security outfits such as the vigilante and local hunters are capable to nip the scourge of insecurity in the bud, if the state government give them the necessary support.

Mr Olohunloni went further to task the state government to ensure there is synergy between the existing security agencies and the indigenous security outfit for the common good of everyone.

“We are not ignorant of the devices of the wicked ones’! The security of our people and of our immediate community is paramount to the Government, the stakeholders and other security apparatus in the state.

“We know our people and we know who is who at any point in time. We can secure ourselves against miscreants, hoodlums,”boko haram” and normads.

“So, our governor, top government functionaries, political leaders, stakeholders, even common people can go to sleep with their two eyes closed with the support of our indigenous security outfits.

Mr Olohunloni said it is expedient that security outfit like the Vigilante who knows the nooks & crannies of the Community & Villages in the state should work hand in hand with government and security agencies to solidify security Achitecture for common good of Ekit residents.

The vigilante boss said farmers are eager to go back to farm, saying vigilante group should be allowed to be Incorporated into the state security outfit and as well be formally unveiled by Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.
