Sudan Crisis: AU set to establish forum to halt Humanitarian challenges

African Union Political Affairs Peace and Security, AU-PAPS has said it would establish a forum for regular coordination and briefing on its activities regarding settling the Sudan crisis.

The Union said this today in a meeting with humanitarian organizations in Addis Ababa to discuss the coordination of efforts toward halting the humanitarian problems following the crisis.

“Today, African Union convened a meeting with humanitarian organizations based in Addis Ababa to discuss coordination of efforts regarding the Sudan crisis; the Meeting agreed to establish a forum for regular coordination and briefing on its activities.”

This was obtained from the official Twitter handle of the African Union Political Affairs Peace and Security, @AUC_PAPS.

Recall, Roundoffnews reported that fierce clashes have been happening across Sudan as fighting between rival armed factions continues to spread; following this many countries are evacuating their citizens from the war area.

Also, Sudan has continued to face political instability following the military takeover in 2021, and, since then the country has been faced with depreciating currency, food insecurity, and high inflation rates.
