A pilot has showed Professionalism as he unexpectedly meets a venomous snake during mid flight.
The South Africa pilot, Rudolf Erasmus said he earlier thought his water bottle was leaking, turning to the left, he saw the head of the snake under his feet.
According to him, the snake is between four and five feet long adding that, he had a moment of stunned silence, like a moment of disbelief as if his brain didn’t register what was going on.
“I felt this cold sensation that was underneath my shirt, underneath where the hip area is,” he added.
Cape Cobra is one of South Africa’s most dangerous snakes. According to the African Snakebite Institute, the snake comes in diverse colours and can grow to more than seven feet. A bite from the snake can cause weakness, and respiratory system issues which can lead to death.
The 30 years old Pilot who made an emergency landing said before he set off for his journey that day, airport workers have reported that a Cape Cobra had been spotted climbing into the engine of the aircraft, but the snake was not found and it was assumed that it had left on its own.
