Shettima to Represent Tinubu at UN, Russia-Africa Summit

The Vice President, VP Sen. Kashim Shettima, will represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at two international Summits in Rome, Italy and St Petersburg, Russia.

The Vice President revealed this in a statement signed by the Director Information, Office of the VP, Olusola Abiola and published on his verified Twitter handle @KashimSM.

According to him, he will depart Abuja for the Rome event, where he will join other global leaders for the first Stocktaking Moment (STM) Summit themed

“Transforming Food Systems for People, Planet and Prosperity,” holding from Monday, 24th to Wednesday, 26th July.

He said, he would echo the Case of Nigeria” at the event tagged ”Scaling up Multi Stakeholders Collaboration and Investment in the Implementation of Food Systems Transformation Pathways in Nigeria,”

Subsequently, the VP will proceed from Rome to St. Petersburg in Russia to represent the President at the Russia-Africa Summit scheduled from Wednesday, 26th to Saturday, 29th of July.

Shettima said, the “Russia–Africa Summit and Russia–Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum focused on strategizing to enhance relations between Russia and the African continent, among other benefits.”
