Senator Sani Reveals Reason For Increased Petrol Cost

By Udesinanna Stephen

Former Senate Representative of Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani, has said, “If the value of foreign currency goes up, the price of petrol will go up.”

The Senator said this recently on his Twitter handle @ShehuSani, while commenting on the recent increase in fuel price.

Sani said, “Petroleum is imported with foreign currency. If the value of the foreign currency goes up, the price of petrol will go up, especially now with the removal of subsidy. This is the energy and economic reality we have to live with, until manna comes or miracle happens.”
