SENATOR RAJI-RASKI COMMENDS SENATE FOR APPROVING PRESIDENT TINUBU’S REQUEST ON SPECIAL ADVISERS

…congratulates newly appointed SGF, Senator AKume, CoS, Gbajabiamila

Senator Fatimat Olufunke Raji Rasaki who represented Ekiti Central Senatorial District at the National Assemby has described as appropriate the Senate approval of the request of President Tinubu’s 20 Special Advisers in his administration urging the appointees to put Nigeria forward in rendering their services to the nation.

This was disclosed on Saturday while fielding questions from newsmen in Abuja, Sen. Raji Rasaki said, President Tinubu is all out to give the nation best of service delivery, hoping that those in the list as Special Advisers will reflect the commitment to proffer solutions to the mirage of problems bedevilling Nigeria.

She had earlier felicitated with the two appointees, the former speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, on his recent appointment as Chief of Staff and Senator George Akume as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

She said, “I have always trusted Mr. President decisions on national issues, this was again reflected in the appointments of CoS and SGF, it is indeed a round peg in a round hole given the duo wealth of experience and service to the country over the years.

“The request to appoint 20 Special Advisers will also provide you the opportunity to give back to Nigerians the much needed directions to put the nation on right track.

” I commend you for this development and wish you well in your determination towards a smooth administrative process.

“I have no doubt that these Advisers will bring to bear their anticipated administrative experience in ensuring the smooth running of the Office of the President and support the government to provide the required leadership for the development and progress of our country.

“We will continue to support your administration and are always with you as you take on the responsibilities of this high office,” Senator Raji-Rasaki assured.

The former Lagos First Lady also called for sustained collaboration for Mr. President by the incoming 10th National Assembly urging the new lawmakers to eschew legislative activism in view to draw the dividend of democracy across all the nooks and crannies of the country.
