Senator Kaita empowers constituents despite loosing reelection bid

Katsina federal lawmaker representing Daura Zone, Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita has commenced distribution of various items aimed at economically empowering thousands of constituents of his senatorial district.

Kaita, who noted that empowerment remained the best way to end poverty in the country, said he was giving out the items as a way to put smiles on people face.

Numerous people has started appreciating Senator Kaita via social media platforms as they got Items like motorcycles, tricycles, sewing machines, shoe-making machines, grinding machines, popcorn-making machines, welding machines, pumping machines, sealing machines, hair-drying machines, barbing clippers and generators etc.

The lawmaker urged the government and public office holders to see to the development of people as a way of empowering them economically and reducing poverty in the country.

Kaita stated that despite loosing reelection bid back to the Senate he will continue to empower his constituents because of the love he has Katsina State at large. “I’m empowering my people rather than dole out money, he felt that empowering them to be able to make their own money and be self sustained is the best thing to do.
Reacting to the insinuation that the majority of the beneficiaries were youths, he said: “I want to empower the youths so that they can empower the old ones. This gestures will surely reduce poverty.

One of the beneficiaries, Ibrahim Aliyu, who received motorcycle thanked the lawmaker and prayed that God would continue to bless him so that he would, in turn continue to reach out to the needy and less privileged in society.

Other beneficiaries who expressed appreciation to the lawmaker for his kindness and care for the poor included Sani Musa and Mr Mumuni Abudu among others.
