Saint Paul’s Anglican Church Pays Tribute to Efon Alaaye Illustrious Daughter

The Saint Paul’s Anglican Church of Nigeria in Efon Alaaye, under the Diocese of Ekiti West has paid it’s tribute to an Illustrious daughter of Efon Alaaye Kingdom, Late Madam Alake Ogunmodede Nee Adeniran who slept in the lord on Monday, December 26th, 2022 after a brief illness.

The Vicar of the Saint Paul’s Anglican Church, Efon Alaaye, Venerable Israel Olagunju in a tribute personally signed by him on behalf of the leadership of the local Church and that of the Diocese of Ekiti West, condoled with the family of the late Chief Mrs. Alake Ogunmodede, whom was until her death the Iya Ijo Designate of the local Church.

According to the Vicar of Saint Paul’s Anglican Church in Efon Alaaye, Venerable Israel Olagunju, “the news of the death of Mama Ogunmodede was received with rude shock and heartfelt sorrow”.

The Vicar while speaking further, “described Late Mama Alake Ogunmodede as a very humble, courageous and respective genius woman, whose ways of life were worth emulating among the women folk of Saint Paul’s Anglican Church in Efon Alaaye”.

Olagunju pointed out that her death was indeed very sad and a loss to the Church who needed her most even at the time of her unexpected death.

Olagunju added, that, “She lived a purposeful, committed and dedicated life to the Service of God and humanity”.

“He equally described her as a rare gem who would be greatly missed for her simplicity of heart and compassionate dealing. She was a pillar to the church and community”, he submitted.

Venerable Israel Olagunju however urged the family, the Church and the Community she left behind to accept his hearty condolences and prayed that the Almighty God will give them the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and grant her departed soul, rest and perfect peace.
