Poultry farmer in tears seeks government’s support

A poultry farmer in Ado-Ekiti, Mr Koyode Aladefemi has been thrown into agony and debt after rainstorm destroyed his poultry killing almost three hundred birds.

Roundoffnews Correspondent gathered that the incident occurred at Oshodi area, off Afao Road, Ado Ekiti following the downpour recorded on Thursday night.

According to the farmer, the storm blew off the roof of the poultry thereby exposing the birds to rain which eventually killed them.

Mr Adefemi noted that he obtained different loans from banks and cooperative societies to start up the business after he could not secure a government job.

He appealled to Governor Biodun Oyebanji and other well-meaning Nigerians to come to his aid.

Report has it that the victim and his family have been earning their living from the farm, hence the need for government to assist them.
