PROMOTE UNITY, ECONOMIC GROWTH IF ELECTED…KEWURE URGES TINUBU

The president, League of Imams and Alfas in Southwest, Edo and Delta States, Sheik Jamiu Kewulere has appealed to the All Progressive Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to ensure unity, progress and economic transformation of the country if elected.

Sheik Kewulere stated this in Ibadan, Oyo State capital during a meeting with APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Tinubu and leadership of muslims in southwest.

The cleric explained that unity and progress of the nation was very important to achieve success in all sector, saying without such it would be difficult for the country to meet up with developed nations.

According to him, it is important for leaders to jettison selfish interest but work toward the general interest of all for the nation to witness unprecedented growth.

Sheik Kewulere urged all those contesting for political positions in the country not to engage in devisive campaigns that could set the country on fire but focus on what they want to offer Nigerians.

He commended Asiwaju Tinubu for deeming it fit to give reference to religious leaders.

He lamented over the insecurity situation and called for pragmatic measures to end it

Sheikh Kewulere therefore called on religious leaders to continue to pray ahead of the 2023 elections so that candidate who have interest of the nation would emerge as president.

Earlier, the Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu vowed to be a president to every Nigerian without prejudice.

Asiwaju Tinubu who stated this said he would bring an end to poverty, insecurity and other woes the country is currently grappling with, if emerge.
