Presidential Campaign Council: Fayose, Eleka, Akomolafe make Contingent From Ekiti

The Peoples Democratic Party has picked six members from Ekiti to serve on its Presidential Campaign Council with young politician, Hon. Henrich Akomolafe joining a fray that comprises former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, his former Deputy, Prof. Kolapo Olusola.

Also enlisted are Senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District, Biodun Olujimi and founding members of the PDP Princess Adekemi Adewumi, and former lawmaker, Hon Yemi Arokodare.

The Presidential Campaign Council is chaired by Governor Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom while his Sokoto State counterpart, Aminu Tambuwal will serve as Director General.

In an immediate reaction to his inclusion, the 29 year old Akomolafe wrote on official Facebook page, “This is an exciting experience for me and I’ll like to thank the incoming President, His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar, His Vice, H.E, Ifeanyi Okowa, the PDP top hierarchy and everyone who has shown belief in my ability to perform at this level.

“Although, I am not unaware of the dubious tactics of those contesting against us, I am confident that the masses are now aware that the PDP has what it takes to rescue Nigeria and restore it to its glory days.

” On behalf of Nigerian Youths, I am pledging my commitment to the success of this campaign, to the restoration of Nigeria’s glory days, to the Unity of this country and better days for Nigeria’s future leaders.”
