Port Harcourt Refinery Starts Processing Crude Oil.

Crude oil processing at the Port Harcourt Refinery in Rivers State has begun, according to confirmation from the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).

The news was revealed on Tuesday by Femi Soneye, the company’s chief corporate communications officer.According to Soneye, the refinery will process 60,000 barrels per day at 60% capacity.

“The Port Harcourt Refinery formally starts processing crude oil today, marking a significant accomplishment for Nigeria. With this historic achievement, our country enters a new era of economic expansion and energy independence,” Soneye stated on Tuesday.

“The NNPC Board, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and GCEO Mele Kyari’s outstanding leadership deserve a hearty congratulations for their unwavering dedication to this game-changing project. Together, we are changing the energy landscape in Nigeria!

According to Soneye, the NNPCL is “working tirelessly to bring the Warri Refinery back online soon,” and truck loading will start on Tuesday (today).
