Police Fires Another Officer

The Nigeria Police Force has again dismissed another  police officer, Corporal Opeyemi Kadiri with Force No. 509745, attached to Dolphin Divisional Headquarters, Lagos Police Command.

He was dismissed  for gross misconduct, disobedience to lawful order, and assault on a member of the public captured in a viral video on August 3, 2022.
 
Kadiri, enlisted into the Force on December 6, 2016, was caught searching a citizen’s phone by the roadside contrary to the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba.

Announcing his dismissal in a statement by Force spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the police stated that his dismissal took effect from August 12, 2022.
The NPF further called on officers and men of the Force to maintain professionalism and civility to members of the public.
