By Udesinanna Stephen

Following the suspension of the People Democratic Party, PDP, National Chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu by the Party’s Benue faction, Governor of River State Nelson Wike has acknowledged the suspension and blamed Ayo for the Party’s failure in the just concluded Presidential election.

Wike in an interactive session with journalists said, Ayu cost PDP Presidential loss for not zoning the Party’s Presidential ticket to the South.

According to Wike, the Party Chairman created strategies against zoning in that, the Chairman set up a committee for zoning the Presidential ticket but in the next 24 hours they opened the avenue for any party member from any region to buy the ticket.

However, it could be recalled that 2023 Presidential Candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, said he would have step down if the Party has choosed to zone the ticket.
