PDP Appoints New National Chairman

The National Working Committee NWC of the Peoples Democratic Party has appointed Ambassador, Umar Ililya Damagum as the acting National Chairman of the party.

The decision was taken in Abuja during emergency meeting held to acknowledge the Order of the Benue State High Court with regards to the Chairmanship position of our Party.

The court had earlier ruled that Iyorchia Ayu should stop parading himself as the national chairman of the party after he was suspended in his ward in Benue State

In a statement, the National Publicity secretary of the party, Mr Debo Ologunagba charged all leaders, critical stakeholders, teeming members and supporters of the Party to remain calm and united at this critical time.
