Military men were caught on tape today allegedly assaulting University of Benin students(UNIBEN).
The footage which has been making rounds on social media was said to have occurred in the early hours of today.
Recall that some UNIBEN students had earlier attacked a soldier at a particular ATM point over cash withdrawal.
Roundoffnews had gathered that the incident occured on Thursday, over cash withdrawal at one of the bank’s Automated Teller Machines.
However, it degenerated when soldiers attempted to join the queue, which was met with stiff resistance from students who had waited patiently on the queue for their turn.
The students were said to be angry with the soldiers from the S&T Barracks who had done the same on Wednesday in an oppressive manner.
Meanwhile, the footage of the assault by the military men was however met with mixed feeling as some Twitter users decried the action of the military men, while others were of the opinion that the students where at fault.
” You can’t beat a soldiers like that and expect a peck on the cheek. This type of wickedness has no name the authority should look into this. This is sad and uncalled for, regardless. Where is our humanity.
