Oyebanji Commiserates With Famuagun Family Over Death Of Former Ekiti Deputy Governor’s Mother

Ekiti State Governor-elect, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, has commiserated with the Famuagun family of Ado Ekiti, over the death of Deaconess Grace Adetutu Famuagun, mother of the late former deputy governor of the state, Mrs. Adunni Olayinka.

Oyebanji, who was received by a member, Ekiti State House of Assembly, representing Ado constituency 2, Hon. Kemi Famuagun and High Chief Segun Famuagun, the Sasere of Igbehin, Ado-Ekiti, during a condolence visit to the family house in Ado- Ekiti on Wednesday, described the late Madam Famuagun, who passed on Tuesday, as a woman of substance and symbol of faith.

“We are not mourning but thanking God for a life well spent. On behalf of the Governor of Ekiti state, His Excellency, Dr John Kayode Fayemi and my humble self, I commiserate with the family and pray that God grants you the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss,”

Oyebanji described Madam Famuagun as an illustrious daughter of Ado-Ekiti who lived an exemplary life. He prayed that God Almighty rest her soul and grant her eternal rest”

Speaking on behalf of the family, Chief Famuagun, who described her late mother as a strong and supportive woman, commended the Governor-Elect and Governor Fayemi for always having the family at heart. He expressed deep appreciation to Oyebanji over the visit, describing it as as a great honor for the family and the memory of the late former deputy governor, late(Mrs) Adunni Olayinka.

“The Famuagun family appreciates your Excellency for this condolence visit. You have not only done the family a great honor but the memory of my late sister, the former deputy governor.

“Having said this, I’m also using this opportunity to congratulate you on your electoral victory and praying that God Almighty gives you the wisdom and required strength to move Ekiti to more greater height”
